2019: Year in Review

2019 was a great year to realign my passion of creating elegant solutions for unique digital experiences. Take a look at some of the User Experience, User Interface, and Motion Designs I produced this year.

Purposeful Website concept:

purposeful home page design

Purposeful is a social giving platform that allows donors to search, discover, and donate to charities from around the globe. I designed multiple search experiences that allow donors to find new charities through three different methods; discovering results by creating an interactive personal “Mission Statement” sentence, search by charity cause, and filtering through a traditional search field. Along with UX & UI, I made interactive prototypes for user testing and created the visual design for the site.

AWS Reinvent website design:

The Amazon AWS team came to use to design their upcoming re:Invent conference website. This learning conference is a five day spectacle of hands-on bootcamps, hackathons, workshops deep technical sessions, chalk talks, keynotes, and culminates into a massive music festival. With more than 20 individual pages, we tasked ourselves with the challenge of reworking the navigation to be more friendly to first time attendees.

Motion Prototype:

Columbia logo animation:

Roles: animation / motion design

Sometimes my day-to-day responsibilities extend beyond my regular digital experience role. In this case, I created the titles for Columbia’s new footwear line, SH/FT. To do this, I tracked video footage, animated the logo and text callouts, and provided these assets for the talented editor Rich Phelps.

Many months and thousands of miles later, I spotted my logo animation in Times Square, Manhattan. What a treat to behold!

REMARS logo animation:

Roles: animation / motion design / UX / UI / Visual Design / Website Design

This is a quick motion branding exercise to promote an upcoming tech conference. Unfortunately due to NDA, I am not able to show the branding, ux, and website designs I created for this site. This animation was done with keyframes and expressions in After Effects.

What’s next?

I am currently working on an in-store augmented reality experience for a major cosmetics brand. Stay tuned to find out more about this project!

I’m am interested in meeting like-minded companies for future freelance and full time opportunities in New York City. In a city this big, one can never have too many new friends.
